I NEED A ROLE MODEL: JOHN COCHRANE IS ONE, FOR NOW. WATCH HIS VIDEO REGULARLY.
ALSO, I SHOULD SERIOUS CONSIDER WRITE A BOOK ON SIM. THIS MAY TAKE ONE OR TWO YEARS. BUT THE REWARD IS TREMENDOUS. IT WILL SHARPEN MY UNDERSTANDING.
YOU MUST PRACTICE. READING IS NOT ENOUGH. ONLY WHEN YOU ACUTALLY DO IT, YOU WILL TRULY UNDERSTAND WHAT WORKS AND WHAT DOESN’T. KEEP A OPEN MIND. ALLOW FAILURES. IN FACT, EXPECT LOTS OF FAILURES. THEY SHOULD BE SEEN AS A MEASURE OF ONE’S DARING AND COURAGE TO TRY NEW STUFF.
SMILE, SMILE, AND SMILE. THAT MEANS I MUST CHANGE MY MENTALITY. I SHOULD ELEVATE ABOVE THE ANGER AND AGONY. TAKE A BROAD VIEW. SEE THE HUMOR IN ALL THESE SITUATIONS: THIS IS WHERE THE FUN BEGINS. NOTHING LASTS FOREVER. ALL ARE JUST A SLICE OF MY EXPERIENCES. THAT IS ALL MATTERS.
THE NEW MINDSET WILL MAKE ME MORE HAPPY.
THIS SUNDAY, I SHOULD TAKE TIME TO THINK THINGS OVER.
[CHARLES RIVER, BOSTON, MA, MARCH, 2015]
I like writing in all caps. It is easier to focus. It slows you down—the best part of all caps. It allows time for processing what you just write. You can always read in sentence case writing, because that is the norm. There is no loss in writing this way.
Writing in all caps also gives a different writing experience. Oddly, it conveys a sense of discipline. Yes, a sense of discipline, a character I want to develop. It is the open secret to achieving anything valuable in life.
Further, it makes easy editing. Once I am done with composing in all caps, use WORD to switch the text back to the sentence case. Such changing of format helps editing.
